Maternity
A refined studio experience celebrating the beauty and strength of this season of motherhood.
Maternity is a transformation, one of the few seasons in life when your body is creating something extraordinary. Our maternity experience is designed to honour it: a refined, fully guided session in sculpted light, where you are styled, directed and celebrated.
From flowing gowns and silk to intimate portraits with your partner, every image is crafted with an editorial eye and finished as fine art, to be displayed, treasured and passed down.
The approach. Sessions take place in our Crows Nest Studio C at Citadel Creative Co-Op and Space, where light is shaped around you, or at one of our curated locations in Sydney. We direct every pose and gesture, so you can relax into the experience and simply enjoy being photographed.
Styling. Every session begins with a design consultation and a personal mood board. You'll choose from our curated wardrobe of flowing gowns, sheer capes and sculpted knitwear, size inclusive, or bring your own wardrobe with pieces for partners and children planned to match in our consultation. Professional hair and makeup available upon request.
Timing. Most sessions happen between 28 and 34 weeks, when your bump is beautifully round and you still feel comfortable. We recommend enquiring in your second trimester.

Newborn
Timeless portraits of new life, crafted with calm and care.
The first weeks of life hold a delicate, fleeting beauty: the curve of a cheek, the softness of new skin, the first quiet moments as a family. Our newborn experience is calm, unhurried and guided by your baby's rhythm, in our studio or the comfort of your home.
With a curated wardrobe for you and the outfits for the whole family planned to match with an artistic, editorial approach. We create a timeless collection of portraits, refined by hand and designed to become heirloom artwork for your home.
The approach. We work around your baby's rhythm, pausing for every feed, settle and nappy change. At home there's no need to tidy; we only need one room with good window light, and we'll find it or alternatively Studio C is purpose built and perfect for newborns and their families. Parents, siblings and the family dog are all welcome in the frame.
Safety. Your baby's comfort and safety come first. We never use risky or complex poses, we keep the room warm, and a parent is always within arm's reach.
Timing. We photograph newborns in roughly the first 5–21 days, though any time in the first few weeks is lovely. Enquire before your baby arrives with your due date and we'll hold a flexible spot, confirmed once your baby arrives.

Family
Elegant, editorial portraiture for the people you love most.
A family portrait is more than a photograph. It is a statement of who you are, created with intention and designed to be displayed. Our family experience brings together considered styling, sculpted light and gentle artistic direction, in our studio or at a curated Sydney location.
The result is an elegant, cohesive body of work that reflects the connection between you, finished to a fine art standard.
The approach. Family sessions are relaxed and loosely guided. We'll give you something to do, such as a walk, a game or a slow dance in the kitchen, and photograph what happens in between. Children don't need to sit still or smile on cue.
Location. We shoot in our gorgeous Studio C, at a place that means something to you, or at one of our favourite Sydney spots. We'll plan around golden hour, and around nap time.
Family film. Add a two to three minute family film to any collection for $1,500: the noise, the laughter and the movement of an ordinary afternoon, cut into something you'll replay for years.

Questions
When should we book? For maternity sessions, enquire in your second trimester. For newborns, enquire before your baby arrives so we can hold a flexible spot. Family sessions book about four to six weeks ahead.
What if our baby comes early or late? That's expected. We hold a window around your due date and confirm once your baby is here.
It's my first time in a studio. Will you pose me? Yes. Every moment is directed. We'll guide your hands, posture and expression so you can relax.
Do I need to be nude or draped? Not at all. Some clients love simple draped silhouettes; others prefer to be fully dressed in a gown. We'll plan the mix together at your design consultation.
Will you retouch stretch marks? Fine art retouching is included. If you'd like, we gently refine blemishes and stretch marks, always keeping you looking like you.
What should I wear underneath? A nude strapless bra and seamless underwear. Avoid tight clothing on the day to prevent marks.
How many looks can I have? Three to Five looks for studio based shoots. One or two for shoots on location.
Can siblings and pets be included? Yes, always.
When are sessions scheduled? Studio sessions are held between 11am and 3pm, when the studio light is softest. Outdoor family sessions begin one hour before sunset.
Do you travel? We're based in Crows Nest, on Sydney's lower north shore, and travel across Sydney. Sessions beyond 20 km include a small travel fee, and we're happy to quote destinations further afield.
When will we receive our images? Three to four weeks after your session, in a private online gallery. You then have two weeks to make your selections.
How do I pay for my collection? Your collection is separate from your $650 session fee. It is paid in full before or on the day of your session, by cash, direct deposit or credit card.
Can I upgrade my collection? Of course. Once you've seen your gallery, you're welcome to upgrade to a larger collection.
How long does it take to receive our final images? Once you've placed your order, your edited images are ready to download within three to four weeks.
Can I order prints? Yes. Fine art prints and framing are available from our beautiful artisan suppliers, ordered through your online gallery and delivered straight to your door.
Why do summer sessions start so late? Our outdoor family sessions begin one hour before sunset, when the last light of the day is at its softest and most flattering. For little ones this can feel late, so we suggest pushing naps back where you can and packing a snack for the drive.
Where are the photos taken? At Studio C at Citadel in Crows Nest, in your home, or at a Sydney location we choose together. When we plan your session, we'll suggest the setting that suits your family and the season.
What if someone in the family is unwell? Please let us know as soon as you can. Your session fee can be moved to a new date within twelve months, so we'll simply find a day when everyone is feeling their best.
What happens if it rains? For outdoor sessions, we check the forecast mid-morning on the day and let you know how we'd like to proceed. If the weather turns, we can move your session into our Studio C, or to a new date. For fewer variables, studio and in-home sessions are always an option, subject to availability.
